Meenakshi Venkatraman

Meena brings a multidisciplinary background in engineering and public policy to advancing energy technology adoption. Her work supports a range of efforts aimed at improving energy efficiency and resilience, including federal procurement of efficient products, reducing barriers to energy efficiency and affordability in housing, and improving accessibility of utility demand response programs for federal agencies. She uses mixed research methods—such as data analysis, market research, survey design and interviews—and values hearing directly from practitioners to inform impactful policy, guidance, and implementation strategies. Meena previously worked on projects relating to campus energy efficiency and affordable housing at the University of California, Davis. She has an M.S. in Energy Systems from UC Davis.
